Misti Norman
Misti Norman is a Columbus native, entrepreneur, and community advocate dedicated to empowering children, families, and underserved neighborhoods through education and development. She earned a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management and Marketing from Franklin University and has since launched multiple successful ventures across both for-profit and nonprofit sectors.
In 2007, Misti founded Heavenly Kids Center for Learning—an early childhood education center serving children ages six weeks to five years old in the heart of downtown Columbus’ Discovery District. For nearly two decades, Heavenly Kids has fulfilled its mission to “nurture, teach, and grow children to reach their highest potential,” expanding its impact beyond the classroom. Under Misti’s leadership, the organization has also developed workforce and professional development programming for parents and educators, helping families build generational legacy and long-term stability.
Driven by a shared passion for strengthening communities, Misti and her sons co-own and operate Morning Enterprise, a community development company focused on restoring and reinvesting in commercial and residential properties in historically under-resourced neighborhoods. Together, they previously partnered with Columbus Landmarks to support efforts toward establishing the King-Lincoln Bronzeville commercial corridor as a Nationally Registered Historic District, and they continue to invest in and support the restoration and revitalization of this neighborhood today.
Misti is a proud mother of four adult children, all of whom work with her within the family companies. She is a longtime advocate for early childhood education, having presented at the Ohio Statehouse and Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., championing policy in support of young learners. She has served as a speaker and panelist before public officials including Mayor Andrew Ginther, Senator Sherrod Brown, Congresswoman Joyce Beatty, and U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Xavier Becerra.
Her work and leadership in early education have been featured in numerous local publications, including The Columbus Dispatch, Columbus Parent, Columbus CEO, and Business Link, where she has been recognized as a trusted voice and expert in her field.
